FAQs about the domes at Glamp Michigan

Where are the domes located?

Glamp Michigan’s geodesic domes are located in Benzonia, Michigan, on a private forest on 13 acres. The geodesic domes are 7 minutes from Crystal Mountain and 18 minutes from Lake Michigan in beautiful Benzie County.

Is there food service on-site?

There is no food or drink on-site, but both domes have a chef’s kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. It also has an outdoor grill. There are delicious restaurants, distilleries, breweries, and wineries in the area.

Is the sauna electric or wood-fired?

Our six person barrel sauna is electric. It’s in a common area, along with an Ice Barrel 300 cold plunge. Instructions for operating the sauna are posted on the unit.

Is there a host on-site?

No, our private campground offers self-check-in and check-out. You will receive your automatic door code through your booking platform. However, you can contact us anytime through your booking App.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed at Glamp Michigan. We are hoping to allow pets at specific domes in the future, but we want to ensure that none of our guests are affected by allergies. We love our furry friends and hope you understand.

Do you have firewood?

Yes, we have complimentary firewood for our guests. Both domes are equipped with Solo Stoves, which are smokeless fire pits. There’s comfortable seating for four adults.

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are allowed at Glamp Michigan. The domes aren’t the venue to throw a massive party. It’s a place to connect to nature and the people you love. All of our guests agree to be respectful to one another.

What is glamping?

Glamping is ‘glamorous camping.’ It includes several structures, from tents to geodesic domes. To us, the magic of glamping is connecting with nature and the people you love, surrounded by surprising comforts.

Is there laundry on-site?

Yes, we have an electric washer and dryer in each dome for you to use. It’s especially useful in the winter months for skiing at Crystal Mountain.
